ATTENTION:

Cloudy Nights will NEVER send any kind of "official" transaction notification. Cloudy Nights is purely a 3rd party that offers a forum for sellers and buyers to sell equipment. All correspondence will ALWAYS be between the seller and the buyer. Cloudy Nights has NO participation in these transactions nor do we have any kind of "Cloudy Nights transaction account". We only provide the medium (our classifieds section) for which the two parties can interact. If you receive any kind of correspondence that makes claims such as: "CloudyNights.com transaction Approved!", "Cloudy Nights purchase protection" or emails claiming to be the "Cloudy Nights Team"... you can be confident that these are frauds. Bottom line is to use common sense!

Description: Selling a Meade 2080 with lots of accessories. I primarily use my C8 on an EQ mount and this one just sits here gathering dust (on the trunk that is.)

Scope and CAT computer documentation

Obtained through Amart, I am the third owner (that I know of.) I received this in trade a few years ago and I think I've had it out under the stars three times. Being of this vintage, moving the scope large distances requires releasing the clutches and slewing by hand, then re-engaging the clutches so the guiding motors can be used. The dewshield was attached to the OTA using velcro however, one of the previous owners attached it backwards as you can see in the picture. It's nothing that some new velcro can't fix. There's a little bit of dust on the optics.

The CAT computer assists with locating the targets and directing you which way the scope needs to be moved. It will also indicate how close you are to the target and when you should start searching by eye.

The Dec motor was received not attached to the scope and I never got around to adding it myself.

There is a threaded rod that was included in the package, but I'm not sure of its purpose, though I think it might be a spare rod for the tripod.

The original documentation as well as the first owner's notes on the operation of the scope and computer are included.

The included trunk isn't in the best of condition, but it works and holds everything except the wedge and tripod. Those would be shipped separately.

I'm asking for $650 OBO for the whole setup. Buyer to pay for shipping. Paypal, money order, and cash are accepted. Cashier's checks may be accepted. I am willing to drive 150 miles or so to deliver the package.
